A born and bred Invernessian, Fred is in our Private Client and Commercial Departments and deals with all aspects of Private and Commercial Conveyancing, Corporate and Business advice.He has been a Partner (and now Director) since 1988 and has been with the firm for as long as he can remember (possibly longer!).
Fred is married with a son and daughter. Keen on all things outdoors such as golf, climbing and cycling and enjoys the odd game of squash.
Mary has been with the firm since 1983 and became a partner (and now Director) in August 1990. She deals with private client matters including sale and purchase of residential property and is familiar with the intricacies of crofting law. She looks after liquor licensing in the office and appears regularly at the Highland Licensing Boards on behalf of owners and tenants of licensed premises.
Mary's interests outside the office include all matters equestrian - she does not play golf.
Ewen is in our Court department, dealing with Family & Child Law, General Litigation and Debt Recovery in the main. Ewen is accredited by The Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Family Law and is a Collaborative Family Lawyer.
He has been a partner (and now Director) since 1996.
Member of the Family Law Association.
Enrolled as a solicitor in 1989.
Ewen has been with the firm, and now company, since November 1992.
Ewen is married with a son and daughter.

Joe moved up to Inverness from Edinburgh in 1994 becoming a Partner (now Director) in 1997. Joe deals in all aspects of property both commercial and domestic, commercial leasing (acting for landlords and tenants), site acquisition and development and licensed businesses. He also advises on partnership and general business law and the sale and aquisition of businesses.
His main hobbies outside the office are road and off-road cycling and sailing.

Gregor runs our Trust and Executry Department and also deals with other private client matters such as Conveyancing. Gregor is a born and bred Aberdonian but has worked in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen before settling in Inverness. He deals with all aspects of conveyancing, both residential and commercial, and with commercial leasing.
Gregor is married and lives in Inverness. He is a keen hillwalker and cyclist.

Findlay hails from Portree on the Isle of Skye. He joined Anderson Shaw and Gilbert in 2007 having previously trained with a large commercial firm in Glasgow and then ventured north to Stornoway and latterly, Inverness. Findlay joined Anderson Shaw and Gilbert in 2007 and was appointed a Director in 2009 and specialises in all aspects of property law including residential, commercial, rural and crofting.
In his spare time, Findlay enjoys fly-fishing, hill-walking and cooking!
Marion has been with the firm since 1999. She deals with the purchase and sale of property, wills and executries. Marion works 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. to allow time for her interests outside the office which include dog walking and music.

Originally from Angus, Iain moved to Nairn in 2001 on completion of his training in Aberdeen and has gained substantial experience in commercial, residential and rural conveyancing with firms in Moray and Inverness. Iain returned to Aberdeen in 2010 to work in a commercial property role but is delighted to be back in the Highlands. Iain specialises in commercial property transactions.
Iain has 4 children and, when he escapes paternal duties, enjoys golf and hill-walking.

Originally from the Central Belt, Elise trained in general practice in Ayrshire, and later Dumfries & Galloway before joining Anderson Shaw and Gilbert's busy court department in April 2011 as an assistant solicitor. Elise deals with all aspects of litigation including debt recovery, family matters and employment disputes.
Out of the office Elise enjoys long distance running, going to live music events and general outdoor pursuits.
Gillian joined the firm in November 2012 to establish the firm’s new service in Ullapool. Originally from Glasgow, Gillian trained and practiced in the central belt working mainly in domestic and commercial property. Gillian worked in legal communications for several years before moving to Ullapool with her family in 2011.
Gillian has a young family, is Vice Chair of the Ullapool Community Trust and enjoys sailing, rowing and the outdoors.
Glaswegian by birth Paul has lived in the Highlands since 1991. Starting with the firm in 2008, he became Head of Commercial Agency in June 2009. He deals with all matters pertaining to the commercial estate agency sales and offers advice on business acquisitions. Paul comes to ASG Commercial with 12 years hospitality experience as an owner-developer and currently retains business interests within the business sector.
Paul’s spare time activities include golf, hill walking and cooking.
Andy is a qualified surveyor and joined Anderson Shaw and Gilbert in August 2012 after spells with surveying firms in Glasgow and Inverness. Andy works closely with Paul Hart in the agency department, marketing commercial property and businesses for sale and is also qualified to carry out Energy Performance Certificates on commercial property.
Andy originally hails from the Isle of Lewis and now lives in Inverness with his wife and son. His interests include films, football and reading.
